Do I need baking experience to use your kits?
Not at all! Our kits are beginner-friendly and include step-by-step instructions to guide you from flour to your first successful loaf.
What’s included in a Starter Kit?
Each kit includes our proven sourdough starter flakes, high-protein Australian flour, tools, and a full guide to help you bake at home with confidence.
Do you offer gluten-free options?
Yes. We have a dedicated Gluten-Free Starter Kit and gluten-free flour options available in the shop.
What if my starter doesn’t activate?
No stress, you’re covered by our Starter Guarantee. If your starter doesn’t activate, we’ll replace it for free.
Workshops & Online Courses
Do you offer workshops or classes?
Absolutely! Whether you’re all about the crusty classic or baking gluten-free, Kayla hosts hands-on workshops each month. You’ll shape, proof, and bake your own loaf - with plenty of flour-dusted fun.
When will I receive info about the workshop?
You’ll get an email a few days beforehand with everything you need: location, what to bring, and detailed instructions.
What do I need to bring?
- 1x large container (1kg capacity)
- 1x small container (~500g)
- 1x jar (500ml–1L) for your starter Don’t worry - we’ll have extras available to purchase on the day if needed.
Who runs the workshops?
All classes are run by Kayla- founder of The Sourdough Way. Her relaxed, practical teaching style makes every workshop welcoming for beginners and experienced bakers alike.
Can I reschedule my workshop?
Yes - please get in touch at least 48 hours before your workshop. We’ll do our best to move you to another date. Unfortunately, changes made within 48 hours can’t be refunded due to prep time.
Do you collaborate with community groups or schools?
Yes! We love partnering with schools, groups and events. Reach out via our contact page to chat.
Orders & Shipping
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes - we offer free standard shipping on all Australian orders over $150 AUD.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping costs and delivery times will be shown at checkout. International customers are responsible for any duties or taxes.
How long will it take to receive my order?
We process orders within 1–2 business days. Delivery times:
- Australia: 2–8 business days (standard), 1–3 days (express)
- International: 6–15 business days (standard), 4–7 days (express)
How do I track my order?
You’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking link once your order has been dispatched.
Can I pick up my order?
Yes, local pickup is available in Adelaide’s western suburbs. You’ll get full instructions after checkout.
Do you ship to PO Boxes or Parcel Lockers?
Yes, within Australia, we ship to both PO Boxes and Parcel Lockers.
Returns & Support
What if something arrives damaged?
Please contact us right away. We take care in packaging, and we’ll make it right if anything arrives damaged.
